Pet therapy
Danny and Abbey are certified pet therapy dogs. Lady was also certified for pet therapy. Many of our dogs are equally qualified to do
pet therapy but we haven't had the time to get them certified. We haven't been able to do pet therapy for awhile because of all the
surgeries I have had recently. Hopefully in a few months we will be able to get back to it. Siberian huskies are very quick learners and
can be trained for various activities that involve therapy with kids as well as helping with tracking and companions to assist the disabled.

This is the organization that we had joined and had certified our dogs with for therapy. There are many other programs throughout
the country however that do similar work. There is an annual membership which basically pays for insurance should there be
an accident involving your dog while doing pet therapy. Since we haven't been active the past two years we have let that lapse however
if you become active it is a very good idea to have this insurance. Therapy Dogs, Inc.

As we have not been active for awhile with pet therapy we are going to start with training a couple of our younger dogs to continue our
involvement with this program. One of them is Willy as he is very people oriented. Danny and Abbey are getting older an we will probably
retire them. We also have Big Boy who is a son of Abbey and Willy that is very people oriented. So we need to start some obedience training
with them first. We will see if they respond to actually having to be obedient. Wish us luck!!!
